Cortex Telecom was one of the first commercial VoIP companies out there.  It  operated in five international cities and allowed anyone to call anyone in those five cities for the cost of a local call.  Every three minutes both parties would get a 15 second ad.  The cities were New York City, Miami, London, Brussels and Paris.

This product was not conceived by me.  However, not counting the database, virtually all the work was mine.

One thing that I am particularly proud of here is how scalable and modular I designed the product to be.  To add a new city, all that had to be done was to take the computers to that new city and plug them into the Internet.  The central network system was made to become intelligently/dynamically aware of what modules/cities were out there.
